Wishes: the guestbook on your invitation

How it looks to guests

Near the end of the invitation there is a wishes section: the wishes already approved, and a small form with a name and a message. A guest writes a line, sends it, and sees a thank-you. They do not need an account, and they can write in any language.

Who sees new wishes

Open Wishes in the dashboard. At the top you choose one of three settings:

• Review first (the default) — a new wish waits in the Pending tab until you press Approve; only approved wishes appear on the invitation. This keeps a public page free of jokes from the groomsmen at 2 a.m., spam and duplicates.
• Show right away — new wishes appear on the invitation immediately. You can still Hide any of them.
• Off — no guestbook on the invitation at all. Wishes you already have stay in the dashboard.

Hide takes a wish off the invitation but keeps it for you; Delete removes it for good.

Good to know

• Wishes are short on purpose. Long speeches belong at the reception.
• Wishes are counted in the hourly digest email along with new RSVPs. You can switch the digest off under Dashboard → Notifications.
• The public link and the personal links show the same wishes.
• During the free trial wishes work like everything else; after the trial ends the invitation is offline until you pay, and so are the wishes.

After the wedding

Paid invitations stay online, so the wishes page becomes a keepsake: open it on the anniversary, or use Export CSV on the Wishes page to keep every message for the album. If you ever want the invitation gone, see Privacy and deleting data.
